Boho Maternity session | Moncton maternity photographer
Updated: Apr 28, 2020
We had this beautiful maternity session in April, the most unpredictable month in Atlantic Canada. It is winter one day, summer the next and there is SO much rain. It makes it challenging for photographers because of course we want beautiful weather for every shoot. But Spring decided to make a late arrival this year. Luckily, I had the perfect indoor setting in boho style for this beautiful family.
In all honesty, I was a bit nervous knowing that I had to photograph a 2 year old toddler and a small dog. You learn to expect the unexpected as a photographer, but the nerves never seem to go away completely... but my mood quickly shifted when I saw sweet little Mattis’ smiley face and his furry little sidekick, Mael.
We started our shoot with some blues and beiges, which blended in perfectly with the colours of the set up. This beautiful family of 4 (we can’t forget sweet little Mael), soon to be 5, were so easy to photograph. I love how we were able to capture the love they have for each other.
Madelaine looked absolutely gorgeous, at 36 weeks, with long blonde hair and the cutest little belly. Her blue shirt told me right away that they were expecting a sweet baby boy.
Later on that afternoon, we moved on to a more dramatic style and played around with some darker colours and some Boho attire. These black lit images are some of my favourite... ever!
I am honoured to have had the opportunity to photograph this beautiful family.
And I am so glad that they decided to take advantage of the maternity and newborn photo bundle because I got to meet the newest member of their family, Cedrik. How lucky am I?
