Four-wreath floral arrangement

I first photographed sweet Ellie when she was just a tiny newborn, then her progress through her seven-month milestone, and recently we celebrated her first birthday together. It's truly a privilege to witness a little one's journey in their first year, and Ellie's has been nothing but a joy.

For her first birthday session, Ellie's mom chose the most beautiful and delicate setup: a four-wreath floral arrangement. The soft pastel hues and gentle blooms created such a sweet and dreamy atmosphere. Little Ellie looked absolutely angelic in this scene. Her blond hair and captivating blue eyes shone beautifully against the softness of the wreaths.

While the floral setup was serene and lovely, Ellie's personality really sparkled when we brought out my little studio drum toy. Her eyes lit up, and she enthusiastically banged away, showing off a playful and energetic side. It was clear this little lady knew what she liked!

Interestingly, Ellie isn't a big fan of sweets, so we decided to skip the traditional cake smash. Instead, we opted for an additional floral setup, this time with gorgeous pink blooms and a subtle nod to Easter decor.

Since Ellie was born around Easter time, it felt like a perfect way to personalize her celebration and create a lovely continuation of the pink theme we've incorporated into her newborn and seven-month milestone sessions (make sure to scroll down to see those!).

Of course, no first birthday session with Irina Art Photography is complete without family pictures, and Ellie's session was no exception. Capturing the love and connection within this beautiful family was truly heartwarming. There were so many sweet embraces, gentle smiles, and tender moments shared.

And then there was Ellie's signature look! Throughout the session, you might notice a certain confident, almost "bossy" expression on her adorable little face. Her Mom laughed and said that Ellie has never been shy about showing her personality, and this determined little gaze is definitely one of her trademarks. I absolutely loved capturing this unique and endearing part of who she is!
