When Skylar’s mom, Shayna, contacted me about a newborn session with her baby girl, I was over the moon. She followed my Facebook page for a while and was very generous on comments and compliments.
Her precious baby girl arrived a bit earlier than expected, so we moved up our session date for a couple of days. When discussing with Shayna her preferences in terms of colours and other such stuff, she mentioned that Skylar was a bit of a fussy girl and she poops a lot and on people lol. I sent Shayna my newborn prep instructions, decided to use my new outfit which can be put on the diaper and hoped for the best. But this sweet girl proved me wrong! Not only is she one of the most beautiful babies ever, but she slept like a champ!
Her session was very feminine with lots of pinks and purple. I think it will match her nursery perfectly.
I also tried new colours which I never tried before on baby girls - blue and purple. She looked soooo pretty in these colours. And I was lucky to catch a few of her sweet little smirks.
I always love photos with parents and their baby. There is just nothing sweeter than those newborn snuggles.
The second half of the session was done on a beanbag, which is challenging for some newborns. But again she proved me wrong! Not only did she stay comfortably asleep, but stayed in the pose long enough so that I could get a few shots of different variety.
Since Shayna chose one of the biggest newborn packages and was so nice and supportive of my small business, I created this 8x10 collage for her as a big thank you from me. I'm sure it will look amazing in her nursery.
So grateful for my wonderful clients that allow me to be a part of such a special time. Skylar is just precious and the perfect addition to their family.
